5 Steps to Creating Your Own “LinkTree” Using Wix
Have you ever wished you could use one link to direct visitors to multiple pages across your site? Now, you can! Here’s how to create your own version of LinkTree using Wix.
What Is LinkTree?
Many social media platforms, like Instagram, only allow you to put one link into your bio or on your main page. This is problematic if you want to direct visitors to multiple pages across your site. Enter: LinkTree. This service allows you to create a page that links to multiple other pages. However, LinkTree isn’t always free to use—but we’ve got an alternative!
Here’s how to make your own LinkTree-like landing page on your Wix site.
How to Make Your Own LinkTree in Wix
If you don’t want to pay for a third-party extension like LinkTree, creating your own on a site builder like Wix is pretty straightforward. Here are a few simple steps to help you create your own DIY “LinkTree”.
Step 1: Create a new page

Log into your Wix platform and hit Edit Site. From there, you’ll click the first menu item on the left (Menus and Pages). Then, you’ll Add a Page. Select Blank Page and give it a name (something generic like “links” might be good).
Step 2: Separate it from your site

Now, the goal here is to create a simple landing page that directs visitors to where you want them to go. That means you don’t want to give them the option to click on anything besides the buttons you provide. So we need to hide the header and footer. You can do this by clicking on the three dots next to the name of the page you just created. From there, select Settings, then Layouts, and check No Header & Footer.
Step 3: Add some buttons

Once you get your page set up, you want to start adding some buttons. It’s probably best to stick with themed buttons to stay in line with your brand. Your header and footer are hidden, but you still want this to look like your business! Be sure to include the most important links on your site, but don’t go overboard. A long list of links will just be overwhelming to users.
Step 4: Add some simple styling

Once you get your buttons in place, add some simple styling, like a background image or color, to give your page a bit more life. Don’t go overboard, though. You want the focus to be on the links!
Step 5: Add to social profiles

Last but not least, it’s time to get this link out for the world to find! Add it to all your social media profiles, and any other high-traffic areas where visitors go to find your site. That way, anyone who visits your site gets your most important links first and foremost!
